Advania Cloud HPC Case studies

HPC as a Service in Iceland

UberCloud and Advania have helped manufacturers to move (part of) their engineering workload to the Advania Data Centers Cloud.

Advania is a great option for them because of its excellent HPC bare-metal performance and high scalability (up to hundreds of compute cores).

The recent Advania/UberCloud Compendium contains 6 selected engineering case studies, about engineering simulations performed in the Advania Cloud, drawing from a select group of projects undertaken as part of the UberCloud Experiment and sponsored by Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Intel.

Case studies include:

  • Complex Blood Flow through Cardiovascular Medical Device Using OpenFOAM
  • Simulation of Impurities Transport in a Heat Exchanger Using OpenFOAM
  • Development and Calibration of Cardiac Simulator to Study Drug Toxicity
  • Studying Drug-induced Arrhythmias of a Human Heart with Abaqus 2017
  • Kaplan turbine flow simulation using OpenFOAM
  • Neuromodulation in Schizophrenia.

You can download the Compendium for free.
